What MadeTiddalik Laugh
Retold by Joanna Troughton
Illustrator: Joanna Troughton
London : Puffin Books, 1994.
1v. (unpaged) : col.ill.: 25cm
This is a delightful retelling of an Aboriginal Dreamtime legend. Tiddalik, the giant frog is thirsty so he drinks all the rivers, lakes and streams in the surrounding countryside. The land bakes and the animals suffer. The animals must work out a way to get Tiddalik to release the water.
The illustrations are colourful and the facial expressions on the animals will amuse the reader.
If you enjoy this book you might like to watch the film.
